SRIJANSHIL REHABILITATION AND SPECIAL EDUCATION FOR DISABLED: TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO HELP THEM FIND DONORS
The differently abled children of Srijanshil School have 20 students with different abilities that does not allow them to function as a normal child. The school is a common platform for these differently abled children to grow and develop into their highest self. During the post COVID-19 times the school is not able to bear even its minimal cost of functioning due to lack of funds. So, GFF Nepal Team worked closely with the school authorities and provided technical support in preparing a short proposal and a simple website so that their stories could reach the possible sponsors. The work is in progress with co-ordination from a website designer who is based in Bangalore, India. He has volunteered to support as the website designing.
DAY CARE CENTRE OF PARTNER ORGANISATION CFS: TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO ASSESS HEALTH PARAMETERS AND ORIENTATION ABOUT AGE-APPROPRIATE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
Our partner organization Child Development Society recently re-opened its in-house Day-Care Center services. Around 30 children are admitted in this day care center who belong to families of daily wage workers. The children receive all the care and nutritional support from 10 am till 4 pm, while their parents work in nearby carpet factories or brick industries. So, GFF Helps Nepal provided technical support to the CDS team in assessing and reporting the health parameters. The CDS team also received a short orientation from GFF country representative regarding the age-appropriate growth and development and other stimulating activities to support children’s growth.
GFF Nepal team along with the intern Ms. Anu is planning to deliver a short refresher presentation on ‘Age-appropriate growth in children and nutritional support’ for the day care facilitator and support staff. The overall objective of providing these technical inputs is to help CDS provide holistic care to the growing children belonging to economically disadvantaged household.
